CLOSURE OF ORDE DAYCARE (18 ORDE ST/33 ROBERT ST) ON SEPT 6 2022

August 18th, 2022 by Anna Gionet No comments »

Dear Families and Staff of Orde Day Care Centre;

I apologize for not getting back to you by August 14, 2022 regarding our plans to return to 18 Orde St from our current location at 33 Robert St.
I was not able to meet with the TDSB representatives overseeing the construction at Orde Public School until today.

As a result, it was determined at today’s meeting that our daycare classrooms will not be ready for our return until September 6, 2022.
Due to this delay we will be closed on September 6, 2022 to all children and programs at the 18 Orde St location ( Orde Public School) and the 33 Robert St location (Lord Lansdowne). Orde Satellite (132 St Patrick St location) will continue to remain open.
The closure will allow our staff to safely set up the environments for the children when we reopen on September 7. 2022 at 18 Orde St ( Orde Public School) at the regular hours of 7:30 a.m to 6:00 p.m.

I know that this may cause difficulty for some of our families, and I apologize for this disruption in service.

Fees for this one day of non service will automatically be deducted from the September billing for preschool and kindergarten children at the Orde Site.

School age children who are enrolled full time (all three parts) will also have one day deducted from their bill.
Thank you for your understanding and continued loyalty to Orde Daycare.

If you have any further questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me directly at admin@ordedaycare.org
Thank you for your time

Move Back to Orde Day Care – End of Summer

July 26th, 2022 by Anna Gionet No comments »

Firstly, we would like to thank all our families for continuing loyalty to Orde Day Care during our relocation to 33 Robert St this summer. We know the transition, commute, and navigating the building have posed some problems, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

We also like to recognize our fantastic staff and children, who are making the best of the limited-out door space, new program rooms and catered lunches, not to mention the warm indoor temperatures during the humid summer days.

We have contacted Maureen Beckett, Project Manager of the construction at the Orde Site. She has communicated that she is unsure if we will be able to get back into the building before September 6, 2022. If this is the case, we wanted to provide as much notice as possible that the daycare may be closed on September 6 (Orde location only) for all programs so that staff can safely move back into the school and set up the environments for the children’s return on September 7, 2022.

We will confirm our plans by August 14, 2022, at which point we will have a better idea of our ability to get back to the Orde location before September 6, 2022.

If we do not open on September 6, 2022, Orde Day Care will reimburse fees for this day.

Thanking you in advance for your understanding
