Severe Weather AlertEnvironment Canada has now issued a winter storm warning with the first major snow storm of the season expected to hit the GTA tonight with accumulation between 20 and 30 cm.

Since our daycare is located within the TDSB (Toronto District School Board) building, we are bound follow whatever actions they may take.  In light of this, we are asking that you please:

  1. monitor the local news in regards to school closures before coming on Wednesday
  2. call the daycare or check the website to confirm if we are open
  3. Drop-off:  be prepared for the possibility of being asked to stay with your child on Wednesday morning, until ratios of the program are met just in case staff is delayed in arriving.
  4. Closures: be prepared that schools (although very rarely) have been closed mid day due to severe weather conditions and you might be called to come pick up your child/ren
  5. If you child’s school bus is delayed or has been cancelled on Wednesday, please call the daycare to inform us of this change.
  6. If road conditions are hazardous or roads have not been cleared by Wednesday afternoon, please consider leaving work early, to accommodate for these conditions, so late fees are not incurred.
