Dear Families of Orde Day Care and Orde Satellite;
As you may well be aware the teacher and support staff who are employed by the Toronto District School Board are in a potential strike position. Orde Day Care and Orde Satellite Day Care both reside in Toronto District School Board schools. A strike called by either bargaining unit will have an effect on the operations at both locations.
The Toronto District School Board recognizes the importance of providing childcare. Therefore every effort will be made to allow childcare centres the ability to continue operations in the event of a strike.
As a result of this communication from the TDSB, we are hopeful that we will continue to operate our programs at both sites. Should a strike be called by either bargaining unit a subsequent email and a posting to our website will ensue. It will be at that time, we will be informing parents of any changes to our program offerings and hours of operation due to the strike action.
